Dining

Dining at The Star Inn

Dining reservations can be made in our Restaurant with a choice between our Tasting Menu (with optional Matched Wines Package), À la Carte Menu or our Sunday Menu, which incorporates a couple of ‘Roasts’. Samples of all our seasonal Menus can be viewed using the links below.

In good weather our Garden areas are very popular. However, we do not take bookings for al fresco dining, due to the vagaries of the Yorkshire weather. Garden tables are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, but it may be possible for those with Restaurant reservations to relocate to the Garden on arrival.

Wine & Drinks Menus

The Star Inn offers a good range of Bar Drinks and Cocktails to complement an extensive list of Wines by the Bottle and by the Glass. The ever-evolving Wine List changes regularly to mirror the produce-led seasonal Yorkshire Menus. The ultimate example is the matched wines package accompanying the spring, summer, autumn and winter Tasting Menus, compiled with assistance from our Wine Consultant and Chefs. Suggested pairings for each dish on the À la Carte Menu and Daily Specials also allow individual diners to optimise their experience for each course of their meal. Knowledgeable front of house staff can make further recommendations to suit the diners’ personal tastes.

For those preferring to choose wine by the bottle, there is a good choice of traditional and more unusual varietals and blends, with options of half bottles or magnums for certain wines each with tasting notes.

Hand-pulled ales, including guest ales, come from the Pub Bar; cocktails from the Cocktail Bar.

Reservations

We recommend making advance bookings at all times. Whilst at quieter times, we may be able to accept walk-in bookings in The Star Inn Pub or our Gardens, our booked diners will always have priority.

When booking our full Tasting Menu please ensure that you allow three to three and a half hours for your visit.
